Start with the Champion Starter Pool
When you create a new account, you’ll be given access to:
- The Champion Starter Bundle (20–30 basic champions)
- The Weekly Free Champion Rotation (changing every Tuesday)
- Champion Capsules as you level up

Best Ways to Unlock Champions
1. Use Blue Essence
- Champions cost between 450–6,300 Blue Essence (BE).
- Earn BE by:
- Disenchanting champion shards
- Leveling up (you get capsules)
- Completing missions
2. Disenchant Champion Shards
- These are found in Hextech Chests, event loot, or level-up capsules.
- You can activate them at a discount, or disenchant for BE.
3. Buy with RP (Riot Points)
- Champions cost between 260–975 RP.
- This is the fastest method, but costs real money.
4. Event Missions and Token Shops
- Some events let you trade event tokens for champion shards or mystery champion orbs.
5. Champion Bundles
- Occasionally, Riot sells discounted bundles in the store.
- Great value for new players or smurfs.
How Long Does It Take to Unlock Everyone?
If you’re playing regularly and not spending RP, unlocking every champion can take several months, depending on your playtime. But between BE farming, events, and loot, the process is much smoother than it once was.
