In League of Legends, an emblem is a visual representation of a player’s accomplishments, often displayed on their in-game profile and during loading screens. These badges highlight ranked milestones, event participation, and other achievements, serving as a way for players to showcase their dedication and skill.
How to Show an Emblem on Your Profile
Displaying an emblem is a straightforward process within the League of Legends client.

To do so, follow these steps:
- Open the League of Legends client and navigate to your personal profile page. This is usually done by clicking on your profile icon in the upper-right corner.
- Once on your profile page, you’ll find various customization options. Look for the section where you can change your profile banner or emblem.
- Click on the emblem slot to open a selection of all available emblems you have earned. These may include ranked borders, event badges, or challenge tokens.
- Choose the emblem you wish to display. Once selected, it will be visible on your profile for other players to see. Depending on the type of emblem, it may also appear on the loading screen before a match begins.
Types of Emblems and Their Visibility
There are a few different types of emblems, each with its own purpose and visibility:
- Ranked Emblems: These are automatically assigned based on your highest ranked tier in the current or previous season. They are highly visible, appearing on your profile, in game lobbies, and on the loading screen to show your current rank.
- Event and Challenge Emblems: These are special tokens or badges earned from participating in specific in-game events or completing challenges. You have the flexibility to manually select or hide these from your profile, allowing you to choose which achievements you want to showcase.
- Summoner Icons and Borders: While not strictly emblems, these are part of a player’s overall identity. You can customize your summoner icon and the border around it to further personalize your profile and loading screen presence.
As the game continues to evolve, Riot Games is regularly adding new customization options. This includes more emblems and different ways to display achievements, giving players greater control over their in-game identity and allowing them to better express their competitive status and personal journey.
