For players who prefer a completely silent experience, chat can be disabled altogether. Using /chatfilter removes filtered words and phrases, while client settings allow you to toggle chat visibility off completely.
Some players have turned to third-party scripts to automate chat clearing, but Riot explicitly discourages these methods. External tools risk account penalties and often fall under the category of bannable modifications.
